Hungarian Translation
I believe that as far as translations are concerned, it is only to be expected that the best translation possible should be ready within the deadline. With an experience of several million words in various fields of Hungarian translation from technical to business, I have never missed a single deadline in my entire career of more than fifteen years working as a freelance translator. All translation is performed based on a best effort principle, and is thoroughly re-read before submission.
My default price for Hungarian translation projects in any direction is EUR 0.08 per source word. This is applicable to all assignments received in an editable format (such as .doc) and a deadline exceeding one working day. I charge an extra EUR 0.02 per source word for all urgent projects (to be completed within a day) and an additional EUR 0.02 for all documents received in a non-editable format (such as .pdf). This is the basis of the total gross amount indicated on the invoice, and contains 20% VAT if the partner to be invoiced is registered in Hungary and 0% VAT for all other countries.
I use Trados 2007 for all Hungarian translation assignments and will be happy to share my translation memory with you. In addition, I always create a glossary of the project, and will submit it to you for approval upon request. This is often very useful and much appreciated in the case of assignments where the use of a specific terminology is of utmost importance to the customer.
If you have a document that is in .pdf, scanned, faxed, or even hand-written, I will go the extra mile to help you out by converting the document to an editable format, translating it, and even putting it back into .pdf if required. If it cannot be converted, I'll provide the translation in a separate file - all this is covered in the EUR 0.02 surcharge for non-editable documents.
